For the Week of Silence 2017 (www.stille-in-freiburg.de) Voices of the World was exhibited for the first time as a pilot project in the ecumenical church Maria Magdalena in Freiburg. We had invited people in the quarter and online under the motto: 'Do we have too much of everything and too little of God? The silence and attentiveness shown by the visitors to the installation, reading the texts from 4 continents and then sitting on one of the numerous chairs, reflecting or talking to us, touched us deeply. During this exhibition it became clear that many people are concerned by existential questions and that there is a great need to look for serious exchange and possibilities of expression.
