Review and preview

Final exhibition from April 14 to May 26, 2023 at the Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe
Midissage on May 10, 2023 at 6 p.m.

In the time we have been working in Karlsruhe, political decisions have deeply affected the private domain. Individual attitudes to community life have been challenged. The contemporaneity of Voices of the World's artistic research has been confirmed: the unexpected social crisis has been reflected in many inspired contributions.

In spite of all the difficulties, due to the general Corona situation, we can look back on a successful time, with more than 70 new collected contributions, among them international and from other religious communities enriching the project. One of our goals was to be part of the events during the Assembly of the World Council of Churches in late summer 2022. The Catholic Church of Sankt Stephan was chosen as the location for our participation. From 1 to 9 October 2022, the contributions collected so far were displayed in the church hall and in front of the building. Every day we offered guided tours through the exhibition and artist talks.

All the Karlsruhe Voices will be artistically designed by us and presented at the final exhibition, from April 14 to May 6, 2023 at the Karlsruhe Regional Council, Rondellplatz.

2022

Numerous citizens from Karlsruhe have already given their very personal answers to the burning questions of our time. During the World Council of Churches there is now again the possibility to experience the installation Voices of the World - Cross your Heart Karlsruhe with voices from 4 continents in the church of St. Stephan and to contribute your own thoughts.

The artists invite to meetings and talks in front of the church at the indicated times and will guide through the exhibition.
